Norash Health & Beauty Spa

SPA.

The magic word. Everybody yearn to have it and experience it once in a while. But spa can be a bit expensive. I should know. Went to numerous of them before married. Well, now I don't have to fret about wanting to indulge myself once in a while as I found a getaway closer to home.

My mother-in-law's has recently re-open her homespa. She had it before at our old house but we decided to move when I was pregnant with Audreyna for more room and space. Now she found a perfect place to have her homespa again. And we all cheers ;)

It is situated at No 5-1, Jalan 5d/6, Taman Setapak Indah,53300 KL. It a topfloor townhouse close to Festival City. After Festival City, turn right at the traffic light. Turn another right at the first junction. You'll see apartments on both sides. Go straight and look for the street address. As easy as ABC.

What can you get at Norash Health & Beauty Spa?

Resdung+Basic facial: RM15 ( dirt cheap you'll sing with joy)
Spa: RM35
Mandi Bunga/Mandi Susu: Less than RM50.

The spa is not the one where you rendam-rendam dalam bathtub je. What's the point in that? It's actually a SG 2000 Home Spa with special oils to cater to your needs.

The Equipments

15 minutes of soaking in the SG2000 Ultrasonic Hydrotherapy Home Spa is equivalent to a 3-5km slow jog in energy exchange. You will find your heart rate increased due to the excellent blood circulatory effect, and experience an internal warming effect, which is key to good health.

5 Keys Benefits

1. Internal Warming: Internal warming increases our body temperature and boosts the immune system, metabolic rate and stimulates the creation of blood cells. It's like what you feel after exercising, there's heat coming out of you. And you'll feel good about it knowing you exercise hard!

2. Blood circulation (exercise effect): A 15 minute soak with the SG2000 Hydrotherapy Home Spa is equivalent to a 3-5km slow jog in energy exchange and 200-300 calorie loss. I still remember the first time I tried it, after 15 minutes, penat gilerrrrrr macam exercise padahal you just soak in the tub.

3. Full body massage: Sapa yang macam geli orang lain urut you but badan still sakit-sakit nak dimanjakan, well this is your answer. Besttttt sangat.

4. Deep cleansing:
Ultrasound is used industrially for cleaning purposes. With 10,000-15,000 microtremors produced per second, ultrasound is able to vibrate the dirt and grime from the deep within the pores and achieve the effects of a body scrub. What will happen is, once the bubbles dissappeared, you will definitely see how dirty the water is WITH YOUR OWN DIRT. It's so unbelieveable that we think we are clean and yet once done they removed dirts from your poressss. Rasa bersih sangat after that.

5. Body contouring: 46 litres or air bubbles are emitted at high speeds to massage the areas which you wish to tone. Simply relax at the right positions in the tub for a targeted body contouring and firming. SG2000 ultrasonic hydrospa is also able to remove water retention in the body. With 200-300 calories lost in energy with a 15 minute session, combined with the right diet, slimming can be achieved.

Six lesson of life

I had to share this. It was easy to understand & hilarious examples given.

SIX LESSONS OF LIFE

Lesson 1: Naked Wife
A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, “I’ll give you $800 to drop that towel.” After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob.

After a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 dollars and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks,…

“Who was that?” “It was Bob the next door neighbor,” she replies. “Great!” the husband says, “Did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?”

Moral of the story:
If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Lesson 2:
A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, “I’ll give each of you just one wish” “Me first! Me first!” says the administration clerk. “I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.” Poof! She’s gone. “Me next! Me next!” says the sales rep. “I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.” Poof! He’s gone. “OK, you’re up,” the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, “I want those two back in the office after lunch.”

Moral of the story: Always let your boss have the first say.

Lesson 3:
A priest offered a lift to a Nun. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg. The nun said,”Father, remember Psalm 129?” The priest removed his hand. But,changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again. The nun once again said, “Father, remember Psalm 129?” The priest apologized “Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.” Arriving at the convent, the nun went on her way. On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, “Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.”

Moral of the story: If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Lesson 4:
A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A rabbit asked him,”Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?” The crow answered: “Sure, why not.” So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested.

...A fox jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very high up.

Lesson 5: Power of Charisma
A turkey was chatting with a bull “I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree,” sighed the turkey, but I haven’t got the energy.” “Well, why don’t you nibble on my droppings?” replied the bull. “They’re packed with nutrients.” The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree. Soon he was spotted by a farmer, who shot the turkey out of the tree.

Moral of the story: Bullshit might get you to the top, but it wont keep you there.

Lesson 6:
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Moral of the story:
1. Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy
2. Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend
3. And when you’re in deep shit, it’s best to keep your mouth shut !

My Little One

I can never resist not putting up more pictures of Audreyna. She's too adorable I'm so lucky she's mine. She's a biter now. Do not let her "kiss" ( bites) you on the cheek. She'll do some minor damage in your pain nerve system.

My firstborn ( hopefully I have more) random pictures all taken in March 2013;

The Hanson's Song

Oh Noooooooo!!!

I've change my URL and all my favourite list of blog that i frequently read DISAPPEARRRRR!!.

Ok a little bit of depression here.

Anyway, while I was twiddling around with the blog, i re-read back my old posts at my old blogs which has been private for ages. What I realised was, I actually have a history that I could read back and remember what i've been through. Started blogging since late 2006 early 2007 officially in blogspot but i've written way before that in friendster blog. Remember friendster? That's a laugh. So i could say that I've been writing for 10 years now because I started to write when I just got into relationship with my husband. Hello dear, we are 10 (TEN) YEARS this year. Cray Cray. Second year into the marriage and still can't believe we made it this far. We practically grew up together dari kurang comel dan kurang bijak ke agak2 comel la jugak sekarang ;) with a mini version of us sleeping next to me right now. It is surreal sometimes if i reminiscing back the high and low of the past years.

Anyway, I plan to write a series of posts today instead of dumping everything in one post which will be LONGGGgggggggg ( tekan snooze button.....). Just wanted to share this song which i've put in the old blog. Funny how I still have warm fuzzy feelings  while listening to this.

Celebrities that goes green

I wrote a post in our office blog last year. it's part of our KPI to at least write something each month. Most of us would write something related to green/sustainability etc. Take a look. Even our international interns pen in some of their thoughts.

So anyway, this was the post that I wrote. Tried to write a new one but still searching for "green" inspiraton.

Celebrities that goes green

Celebrities can be a role model as publics follows every tiny gritty detail of their lives. I personally think it is ingrained in most of the human brain that if they do it, then it must be cool and hip for us mere commoners to follow. Yes, celebrities have the power to change the world for a better place. Let see the list of celebrities who has embrace going green and being green.

1.    Jessica Alba

This mother of two has just launch a line of green baby and household product under her company; The Honest Company. The company’s products include designer biodegradable diapers, all-natural wipes, shampoo, baby lotion, laundry detergent, sunscreen, and more. Not only are the baby products safe and eco-friendly, they’re stylish with designs like lollipops and ice-cream on diapers for girls and little skulls-and-crossbones on diapers for boys.

2.    Leonardo Dicaprio

He is a committed environmentalist that drives hybrid cars and has solar panels installed at his house. In 2007, Leonardo wrote and produced a documentary film “The 11th Hour” which focuses on global warming. In 1998, he started the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation to raise awareness of environmental issues. The Foundation works on a variety of environmental and humanitarian issues including Wildlife Protection, Forest Preservation, Healthy Oceans, Water Access, Renewable Energy, Disaster Relief and Climate Change.

3.    Rachel McAdams

A big fan of Rachel McAdams, I was pleasantly surprised to find out she helped launch the Green Is Sexy website that offer advice to those looking to live in a more sustainable and eco-friendly manner.

The site is fun and charming in its fresh and light-hearted takes on the issues at hand. As a woman, I find their tips in maximizing the use of make-up helpful. For example, the eyeliner — “once the pencil gets to a certain point, it becomes soft and difficult to sharpen. Instead of tossing it in the trash, try sticking the pencil in the freezer instead. After a couple minutes chilling out, your favorite black eyeliner will be ready for the sharpener and your hot date”.

Another simple tip is by switching your default font to Century Gothic. Apparently it could save you $20 a year in printer ink cartridges. Taken from their website, “Century Gothic uses about 30 percent less ink than Arial.  Considering more than 300 million ink cartridges are thrown away each year, reducing the amount of ink you use is good for the environment and great for your wallet.”

Guess what font am I using right now? ;)

So what are you waiting for? Click http://www.greenissexy.org/ for a dose of friendly advice by Rachel McAdams and her crews.

There are hundreds more environmentalist celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom and even Richard Branson just to name a few. Next up, maybe we should look closer to home and look at our own Malaysian celebrities and their eco-achievement. Care to share who they are?

Wednesday Quotes

10 months

Audreyna is 10 months last 10th March. She has 3 teeth to date; one upper and two at her lower gum. She's healthy and cheerful, Alhamdullilah. Can't believe this little girl is mine. Sometimes i'm worried of having another one, just because i think she deserve to have me to herself. Maybe when she's a bit older but love having another little girl to accompany her. ;)

Some new photos of her;

An Epiphany

An epiphany is an experience of sudden and striking realization. That is what I am having for the past months. I CANNOT & WILL NOT live like this anymore. Slaving for money, making ends meet, mediocre saving, stress and truthfully not finding joy in what I do JUST BECAUSE I feel like I want more and deserve more and should have more. Don’t get me wrong. This is nothing got to do with “sifat tamak haloba” or “tak mensyukuri apa yang ada” but more on the endless journey of self-actualization.

A basic definition defines self-actualization simply as "the full realization of one's potential", and of one's 'true self'. My boss told me this principal- DUIT: Doa Usaha Istiqamah Tawakal. He’s trying to make us all an entrepreneur. I might not appreciate it before the true sentiments but now that I realize nobody is holding me down BUT MYSELF, I can’t simply give excuses of ‘No, I can’t’, ‘No, It’s hard’, No, it’s impossible’.

The reason why I’m finding back-up and extra income is first & foremost; I DO NOT WANT TO BE MISERABLE for the rest of my life. Yes, that’s true. Money is not everything BUT everything needs money. Now that I’m a mother, my daughter’s wellbeing is the primary concern. I worry about everything when it comes to her. I want her to have more of whatever I never get when I was a child. I want her to be more than what I am and was.

My parents, bless them, I thank Allah-Almighty every day that they are my parents.  I see how hardworking my dad is, taking a double degree to fulfill his dream, taking care of all his 4 girls even when we are married and has children ourselves. Paying for my PTPTN loan so that I only have to pay to him instead of having a debt in my name, letting me drive his car because like he said “he has too many and nobody to drive them”. He’s the epitome of the greatest responsible father I know.  My mother, the sweetest kindest lady I’m proud to call as my mom. Selflessly taking care of my kid even when I know she’s tired BUT she never says NO, never says she CAN’T & if she has plans, she is willing to cancel them. Because I’m a parent, I do understand the depth of their sacrifice and responsibility they feel towards me. And because of that, I want to pay them back for everything and even more.

My colleague, Kak Nurul recently introduces me to Premium Beautiful Corset. Oh well, I knew about it years ago since I was in UM when I first start reading about Hanis Haizi. You see, back then I was impressed with her achievement but I was lazy to know more about this. Two years back I read about Aliah Nasreen. She has just started the PB business as a part timer. Again, I didn’t pursue this because I wasn’t confident in being in sales. I recently search her back. She’s now earning RM30k per month on PB business on top of her salary at Petronas where she works.

It stopped me in the track. I can’t sleep. I keep on thinking, “if I were to join her 2 years back, I might have been as successful as she is”. You see, regret is a bitter pill to taste. I didn’t swallow it well. So I took the first step. I decided to join as well.

So yes, I’m in the process of joining. I had “skeptical” and “negative” comments thrown at me. But you learn from the best. If they can do it why can’t I. They are human being and so am I. I am as good as they are. You see others made it and you are jealous of their achievement. “SAMPAI BILA?”. I’m 26 years old. Time doesn’t wait for ANYONE.

IF YOU WANT SOMETHING, GO GET IT. PERIOD!!!!

Do yourself a favor. Go google about Premium Beautiful Corset, all its glory, & the business itself.

I’m taking the first step. Are you joining me?

Love,
Aneesa

My Kid

My baby is turning 9 months in 11 days. So far;

She crawled this week.
She doesn't have any teeth yet.
She can interact with you and give many cheeky funny faces.
She loves adult food and hates baby food or maybe i just have not feed her yummy baby food yet.
She poo every single day and always yucky mushy ones not the hard onesie.
We just bought her a new walker and carseat and she loves them.
She outgrown most of her clothes and mummy has not yet shop for her new wardrobe.
Her hair is longer at the back and still tame and manageable. I love if she has longer hair so i can play around with it.
Do not know her weight as her next check up is when she's 1 year old.
Ditto the height.
She cries her eyes out everytime mummy in the bathroom. Like crying with tears streaming down her face so sad so tragic ones. SIGH!!!
She knows how to clap.
She loves kissing and cuddling. She's definitely an affectionate kid.

I know i missed out a lot of her development here just because i'm a tad lazy to update. But I love taking her pictures. My instagram is full of her pictures.

So why don't i put some of them here just because i'm a mummy and a mummy like to show off her kid. Ok bye.
