Lazy Mummy

As you might have realised by now, I am a slight underweight for a pregnant lady. Usually by third trimester, a pregnant woman should be humongous and gained a few kgs at least. The legs and arms and face should be fat and flabby. For me the only thing huge is my protruding tummy. Pre-pregnancy i was always a little bit worried how huge i'll be and how hard to lose all the extra weight. And now at a mere 52.5 kgs ( actually it was less than that ), i'm slightly worried. You see that usually will be my weight even before i was pregnant.

I am always sick. Even now i am back at coughing. I even vomitted once while driving to work that i had to take MC the whole day. Few days ago, my mom read the medical report from Naluri and she started scolding me on my weight. On how i'm not drinking milk, on how little i eat everyday and knowing I won't listen to her, she use a dirty tactic on me. Well I call it dirty because i didn't see it coming. She pulled my husband aside and started telling him to force me to eat and drink milk and i dunno what else they were talking about because i was not there but my husband started being so stern with me after that ;( .

Everyday every hour and sometimes at work he would call to remind me to drink milk. I was hungry at 4am and he bought me McD. Well ohkayyyy i know i should have started drinking milk regularly. It was not a bad experience, the milk was actually nice. I bought Anmum Materna and so far in the past 7 months, i only managed to finish 2 boxes of it. So sikit right.... Maybe that's why i'm constantly sick as well. No healthy diet. It's so weird that i dun have a pregnant woman appetite. I don't really feel the need to eat that much. I'm easily full and i don't really eat junk food.

Well starting this week, milk drinking is included in the diet. Almost reaching my 8th months now so that leave me with 1 whole month to fatten myself and baby. Oh Nooooooo, another 1 month to deliver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Scaryyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!

Ok this is officially a rambling mengarut post.

The chocolate ones sedap!

Week 31

Third trimester is really the second hardest. The hardest of course was the first trimester with vomiting non-stop and the infamous morning sickness. By now, i'm having backaches constantly, the baby is kicking my ribs everyday, the famous Braxton Hicks or so it seems, since my tummy constantly harden and soften at any given time, making me breathless.

Progress so far;

Mummy's Weight: 52.5 kgs
Baby's Weight: 1.5 kgs
What I can eat: Anything and everything that I wanted ;)

We did a 4D scan and it's hard to see the baby's face by this time. Note to self: The best time to do it is when you are 5-6 months pregnant. The doctor took a while to locate the baby's face clearly since her unbilical cord is right in front of her face. She actually moves so i can see her little fingers moving. Her eyes were close so i guess she was sleeping? Here's what we can get, see if you can understand and see the face ;)

Mi Amor's Birthday

Hello March, you make me broke!!

Anyway, March has been stupendous so far. My hubby's birthday was on the 3rd of March. Dah tua dah orang tua tu!! ;) Oh and his graduation fell on the same day. Bangga je tengok dia naik DTC UM the same place i've been 2 years ago. Can't believe it has been almost 2 years since I left UM. Don't you think time goes by so freaking fast? Two years. WOW! Saya pun rasa dah tua. -_-"

Anyway, me being me didn't plan anything for his birthday. Not only my mother in law and Nyna were not around, they were holidaying in Perth so I thought just usual dinner and birthday cake so i ordered Pavlova cake from Auntie Nani ( you know, thattt Hanis Zalika's mom) just because all Nally will eat is fruit cakes. He usually buys that sponge fruit cakes which is a lot around the mall and i don't really fancy eating that and he doesn't really eat chocolate cakes/cupcakes/macaroons or anything super sweet so i bought him Pavlova.

Thank God i had the foresight of taking half day leave on Friday the 2nd. Didn't tell hubby as i thought i can run around to pick up the cake and buy flowers at Petaling Street but Oh No no no, when i talked to hubby, he was hinting he wanted to have a gathering with his beloved cousins on his birthday. Some sort of "surprised party" kononnya. So fineeeeeeeeeeeeeee, i had to change my plan on that freaking Friday itself. No birthday dinner and movie. Instead I plan a BBQ sessions.

Amy was a great great big help to me. All I did was called her, told her to do the invitation, ask her to help with the decoration and all I did was buy everything else. The food for BBQ, i asked his cousins to help. Hye sakit pinggang tau pregnant lady nie berjalan merata siap sesat-sesat kat Petaling Street at 4pm and you know how jam-packed it was. Poor me. I was so exhausted running around the whole day. Not only that, Aunty Nani told me to pick up the cake at night. Arrggghhhh nak redah jam pergi Shah Alam on Friday night alone? So I did the unthinkable. I asked hubby to teman me. LOL. Ruined the surprised man. He was so annoyed we had to go through NKVE on Friday night and keep on asking me why the hell did i ordered a cake so far away. Why can't i just buy from Secret Recepi. LOL. * In the future should order from Alexis, sudeyyyy*

Well to make this story short, we arrived home almost 11pm. During that time, Amy has decorate the house and BBQ has been set up at the porch. Hubby of course knows about the BBQ session since his cousin was a little bit clueless that it was supposed to be hush hush and instead she tweeted and make a FB post about the party and tagged my dear husband. LOL!! FAILEDDDDD!!!

We in turn was quite surprised how beautiful the decoration Amy had set up at the dining hall. So pweeetttyyyy with candles and flowers. Love you Amy. ;P So when the clock strike 12, i presented the cake and everybody sang for my dear hubby yang dah tua.

Pictures galore can be seen below; Oh and the cake was gone in a day. Everybody love it so much since no-one ever taste it before. ;)

The boys

On Saturday itself, we went to UM for his convo and later to midv to watch This Means War. It was the most entertaining movie ever. Two hot guys with an equally hot woman, actions and love and jokes. What a great combination. But boy oh boy at the end of the day, both of us fell flat on the bed and in deep slumber until tomorrow morning. It was such an exhausting weekend.

Week 28 ;)

An update on baby's progress for mummy's (me) future reference.

Baby on 28th week:

Weight: 1.1kg
Mummy's weight: 50 kg
Condition: Healthy

I went online to look for baby's progress and here it says;

Fetal development in pregnancy week 28

~length14.8 in | 37.5 cm
~weight 2.2 lbs | 1 kg
You know how you’ve been feeling like a whale with legs?

To state the obvious, that feeling isn't going anywhere until you finally get down to the hard work (aka labor) of evicting your womb-squatter.

For the time being, your little genius is in the fat collection business!

Despite being a bipedal whale, this fetal fat collection stuff is serious business, and you’ve got to put up with it because it’s going to keep your little porker warm and healthy after birth, since their brain will be unable to regulate their tiny baby-body's temperature.

Other good stuff from inside the womb: your little explorer's eyes are doing lots of blinking this week because they’re now responding to light and dark!

And in life-critical physical developments: your champ's tiny industrious bone marrow is now a major construction site for blood cells, while their super-cute adrenal glands are actually producing androgen and estrogen — which will stimulate your body to begin milk production.
Say “Moo”!

Anyway here is a little precious thing i save in my phone ;)

Doesn't she looks like her daddy? Awwwww.....

Officially entering my third trimester. Backaches are constants these days. Baby has been stretching or growing resulting in me being a bit uncomfortable and slightly painful as if she's been kicking my ribs non-stop. Her constant movements throughout the day nevertheless reasures me she's healthy and active and i'm not alone even when i'm alone because she's always there to give me a gentle nudge as a reminder. I love my baby already ;)

See you soon honey. Mummy is still trying to figure out what to name you, my perfect little angel.

Ps: Mummies out there, don't forget Motherhood Expo this friday until sunday at KL Convention Centre. See you there ;) Time to shop for little ones.

Bye January, Hello February

January comes and goes. It will be February soon. The month of love where flowers, chocolates, and restaurants booking will be overcharge and expensive. Good thing we didn't celebrate Valentine ;) but the lovey dovey vibe is so infectious. On the day itself the 14th Feb, i'll be minding my company's booth at Green Build Asia Conference at KL Convention Centre. It will be a 3 days event. If you happen to be there, come and say hello ;)

Anyway i have started to buy baby stuffs on impulse. I know I should have made a list instead of entering Mothercare and get blindsided with all the cute gorgeous baby clothes. I should have stick to the list IF I HAVE ONE but i haven't even started making a list so i just bought whatever i think baby will need. My mom was telling me not to buy anything until the third trimester BUT have you guys freaking see the price tags on baby's necessities yet???? They are freaking expensive and if i didn't buy bit by bit each month, i'll be flat broke the last 2 months before delivery -_-".

So things that we already have:
  • Stroller
  • Car seat
  • Mattress
  • A white cots just like i wanted
  • Soft pink Bed Sheets
  • Soft pink/ White Hooded towels
  • Some newborn bodysuits
  • Soft pink Blanket

Well that's about it. So sikit rightttt but already left a huge hole in the wallet. So many baby's essentials i have not buy yet. Takpa next month aiming for more.

What i wanted:
  • A neutral colour baby bath and changing mat ( just in case there's a boy in the future)

Need to stop buying things for me and start saving for baby. No more crazy splurges.

BUT i just splurge on these:

I have really dry lips so these supposedly nourishes, protects, and plumps the lips. Well, let just wait and see ;)

Some recent vain photos of yours truly;

XOXO,
Mummy-to-be.

You will be loved eternally

Updating through iPhone is such a hassle as there's something wrong with wifi connection at the moment. Anyway just wanna have a quick update. On baby's progress as for now I'm in my 24th week Of pregnancy. Baby is currently 500g of weight and lately very very active especially at night. I read that at this stage baby can hear noises means lil ones will hear my voice or songs and can react to it. You can actually see physical movement on my tummy as opposed to me feeling butterflies. It's quiet a surreal experience and one not to be missed. Alhamdullilah we women are lucky to be having this special bond with our babies. I didn't have the latest scan. Should have ask the doctor to print it. Still haven't decided on which hospital to deliver. Still have not shop for lil munchkin. A lot mOre to do which will be done in my last trimester. I think that's the best time to buy everything. Three more months. Yikes!!!! Anyway, I wanted the gender to be a surPrise but not 5 minutes after knowing it, hubby practically broadcast the news in Facebook -_-" so it's kinda a moot point to keep it a secret. In 3 months time, I"ll be having ........... *drumrolls*.......... A Baby GIRL!!!!!!! ;)

Romantic beds

Lately i have a thing for four poster beds or canopy beds especially when they are in whites. They look oh-so-serene and romantic. Trying to recreate that hotel-style bedroom with one of these babies. Hubby was telling me that once we have the perfect bed and  more importantly the perfect sheets/pillows/duvet with the right colour scheme and theme, we will never leave the bed. Sleeping in it will be heaven. Now let see if we can pull this off.

Adding this for wishful thinking; white baby cot oh-so-beautiful. A good combination with our bed ;)
